Last Saturday, 13th September, RUHX supported the RUH community day and had a fun filled day as visitors took part in our family-friendly trail to learn more about hospital life and win fun prizes. Also, we
– gave guided tours of the Dyson Cancer Centre, including to past patients and their families
– enjoyed tasty cakes from our brilliant volunteers cake sale
– shared information about our upcoming family events, like our ever popular Glow Run
– showed off crafts for sale at our volunteer run stand.
And much, much more. All whilst we raised more vital funds for our new PET-CT Scanner campaign.
The sun shone (most of the time) as visitors also learnt CPR and pARTicipated in art workshops to create collaborative art sculptures for the RUHX Wellbeing Garden. And learned about life at their local hospital and the careers that exist here for current and future healthcare professionals.
A great day, finished off at our neighbours the Lansdown Cricket Club for live music that evening from 4.30pm onwards. The perfect way to end the afternoon!
