you can help RUHX

Become a volunteer

Volunteering for RUHX is a fantastic way to channel your skills, time and enthusiasm to support the local community through the extraordinary work of the hospital. Whether you want to lend a helping hand at one of our events, or in our office to assist with fundraising support, there’s something for everyone.

Volunteering opportunities

We have plenty of opportunities for enthusiastic individuals to help us.

Volunteer at the RUH

Volunteers at the Royal United Hospitals Bath provide much needed support to patients and those who care for them in a variety of ways. For more information about the opportunities available, plus the recruitment and training process, please visit the Friends of RUH website below.

Volunteer at an event

Welcome participants, sell merchandise or cheer on runners and cyclists at one of our exciting events. Whatever your role on the day, we guarantee you’ll have a rewarding time.

Collection tin coordinators

If you’re confident and have no trouble striking up a conversation with anyone in your local community, a role as one of our collection tin coordinators could be for you.

You’d be visiting local businesses and providing them with collection tins, to be collected every few months and returned to us by you.

Fundraising groups

If you and your friends share the same passion and generosity, why not create your own fundraising group. You could meet up regularly to brainstorm new fundraising ideas and our team will be on hand to help you bring your ideas to fruition.

“When I saw the appeal for volunteers I was really eager to get involved. I really didn’t mind what I did, I just wanted to help. It’s good to know that I’m helping and providing a very important role for the hospital.”
