Glow Run 2026

Run, jog, walk, or dance 2km or 5km in the dark!
A fun run with a twist! Get your glow on and light up the night for Royal United Hospitals Bath.
What you can expect
The Glow Run is a flat course around an enclosed route at Odd Down Sports Ground, with lights to guide you along the way. Whether you’re a regular Parkrunner, looking for ways to get the family more active, or you just want to do something different to support your hospital, the Glow Run is for everyone.
This year we have two new distance options to choose from: a sunset 2km or after-dark 5km.
With a group warm up, face painting, UV disco and more to take part in on the night, we promise to put the ‘fun’ into fundraising!

FAQs
How much do I need to raise?
Please try and raise as much as you can to support Royal United Hospitals Bath. We ask that you aim to raise £50 per person or £25 for children. Every penny raised helps us to continue to make a life-changing difference for patients, families and staff at the RUH Bath.
• £50 could fund a craft session on the Children’s Ward
• £100 could fund live music on a ward
• £150 could fund a sensory toolkit for patients with learning disabilities
Who can take part in the Glow Run?
The Glow Run is suitable for everyone!
Younger children (under 11) must be accompanied by a paying adult or carer around the 2km or 5km course. Children aged 11 and older can take part by themselves, but must be supervised by a responsible adult when not on the track.
The event is also fully accessible for wheelchair users and pushchairs, with disabled parking and disabled toilet on site.
Please ensure everyone in your group who wishes to take part in the fun run is registered.
What should I bring?
This is an outdoor event so please make sure you dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear. Fancy dress and neon outfits are encouraged!
Essential items:
• Warm jumper
• Waterproof coat
• Water bottle
• Torch (head torch or hand held)
• Appropriate footwear
Glow sticks, light up accessories and neon face paint will be available to purchase on the night.
Is it a race?
The Glow Run is a family-friendly sponsored fun run event and is not timed. Everyone who takes part will receive a medal!
Is the route accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs?
The Glow Run takes place on the tarmacked cycle track at Odd Down Sports Ground, making it a smooth and even path suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs and buggies. There are accessible toilets located inside the sports centre.
Please get in touch if you have any questions about additional needs.
Can I ride my bike or scooter?
Bikes and scooters are unfortunately not allowed. This is to keep everyone safe as the event takes place after dark with reduced visibility.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome on the day to spectate with cheerers but sadly cannot participate in the run on the cycle track due to site rules.
