RUHX Tribute Funds

What is a Tribute Fund?

A tribute fund is a special way to remember and celebrate the life of your loved ones. It’s a dedicated on-going fund set up in their name, where family and friends can donate or fundraise to support your chosen area, here at the RUH.

By creating a tribute fund, you’re helping us to provide the extra extraordinary to all our patients, staff and visitors that use the RUH every day. Our Tribute Funds have helped us to: fund £10 million towards the Dyson Cancer Centre, provide updated rooms in NICU for parents to stay with their babies, bring state of the art robotic surgery to the RUH bringing us to the forefront of surgical technology in the South-West, and support our Forget-Me-Not suite alongside our maternity bereavement team. Just to name a few.

Here at RUHX we’ve partnered with MuchLoved to host our Tribute Funds online. MuchLoved is designed to share stories, photos and memories in one special place. It makes donating and supporting your chosen area effortless, and you also have complete control to keep your tribute page fresh and meaningful.

How it works
    1. Fill in our form below, sharing a few details about you and your loved one.
    2. You’ll then receive an email from our partners at MuchLoved, including a link on how to activate your tribute fund. This email might go into your junk folder, so don’t forget to check there. You will also receive an email from our Tribute team who will confirm your Tribute Fund name, your area of support you wish to fundraise for, and to confirm how you wish for us to contact you.
    3. Now is the time to personalise your fund. You can add photos, videos, memories of your loved one and even invite friends and family to do the same, all displayed on one page. You can make your tribute fund public or private, this is completely up to you.
    4. Collect and raise funds directly through your tribute fund. You can also link any event pages so friends and family can donate either direct or through your event, and your total will be all in one place.
    5. Stay up to date with us and receive email or postal updates on how your fundraising has benefited your chosen area of support.

Who can set up a Tribute Fund?
Expand Hide chev arrow

Anyone can set up a Tribute Fund in memory of a loved one, however if you’re not immediate family, we would advise that it is done in agreement with or in the knowledge of the loved one’s family.

Can anyone access my page?
Expand Hide chev arrow

If your page is made public, then yes anyone can access your page to give donations, write memories and add photos of your loved one. You can also send out a link to your page for friends and family, so they know where to donate.

What if I already have an offline Tribute Fund set up?
Expand Hide chev arrow

Your page can be credited with an initial one-off offline amount that accounts for all previous donations and fundraising you have already done for RUHX. We will also set up a MuchLoved page for you if you wish, so you can add memories, photos and videos of your loved one.

Will all the money I raise contribute to my Tribute Fund?

Expand Hide chev arrow

No. It’s completely up to you if you want to set a time limit or fundraising goal for your page. We will stay in contact with you during your fundraising journey.
