Last night was the glamorous 20th anniversary Bath Life magazine awards at the Forum theatre in central Bath. Some of RUHX were there, as excited shortlisted nominees for two award categories – Health and Wellbeing and Legends.
And RUHX won! The Bath Life Awards inaugural LEGENDS category. A category devised to celebrate organisations that have been serving and helping the community of Bath for 20 years or more.
And, of course, it’s all down to YOU, our extra extraordinary supporters past and present. To all the bakers, walkers, runners, riders, trekkers, benefactors, and team members past and present WELL DONE. We’re so proud of everyone – this is for you all!
The independent judges said about RUHX and our nomination “RUHX marked its 25th anniversary as a Bath staple by opening the Dyson Cancer Centre, raising £10 million, and transforming local healthcare. Legendary.”
This award was certainly influenced by our extraordinary 2024, our 25th anniversary year that included: the Dyson Cancer Centre opening, Wellbeing Garden opening, Gamma-CT camera purchase, new ICU pendants and so much more. But this award was about the past 20 years, it really does celebrate so much that you’ve all achieved together over the years. Highlights that include:
– New children’s ward garden
– The new neonatal care unit ‘Space to Grow’ campaign
– Ted’s Big Day(s) out
– The RUH’s first surgical robot
– Breast unit extension
– Covid-19 hospital heroes staff wellbeing support.
