The Walk of Life is BACK! RUHX’s flagship fundraising event returns on Saturday 11th May 2024. Who will you be walking for?
The walk, that featured last year on BBC One’s ‘The One Show’ started in 2005, and since 2019 it’s raised over £250,000.
This year we’re aiming for 300 walkers, who can walk a whopping 10 miles or the marathon 26.2 miles from Wiltshire to Bath along the beautiful Kennet & Avon Canal. Will you join us?
The route takes on a scenic journey down the Kennet & Avon canal towpath, from Wiltshire to Bath. Our marathon walk starts in Bishops Cannings, near Devizes, and is joined by our 10 mile walk at Bradford-on-Avon, with everyone coming together to finish at The Holburne Museum (featured in the Netflix hit, Bridgerton).
From stunning countryside to historic aqueducts, there is plenty to spot along the way as you enjoy your day and complete your challenge.
Whoever you walk for, you’ll be supporting your local hospital to do more for our patients, their families, and our amazing NHS staff. Whether you’re walking in memory of a friend or family member, to celebrate yours or your loved one’s recovery at the RUH, or to say thank you to the incredible RUH staff, this is a walk for all lives.
