This week, in London, the European Healthcare Design Awards 2025 shone a spotlight on design excellence in healthcare environments in Europe and around the world in a glowing finale to this year’s 11th European Healthcare Design Congress (EHD).
Winners came from as far afield as the Netherlands, Switzerland, Singapore, Madrid, Caymen Islands and Bath!
The top prize for Interior Design and the Arts went to the Dyson Cancer Centre, designed by Arcadis and Art of the Heart of the RUH. The new centre, which your donations made possible, was praised for the calm and healing environment so connected to nature through its Land, Water and Sky theme and artwork. Visitors to the new centre agreed that the interior design and art are breathtakingly beautiful, commenting that:
“Love the art, the air, the open spaces. Most of all, the staff are fantastic.”
“The art makes you smile and the centre more attractive.”
“It’s a lovely, uplifting environment.”
Art & Design Manager, Hetty Dupays shared about this prestigious award “It’s an huge honour to be awarded this accolade from the European Healthcare Design Awards. Architects Arcadis and Art at the Heart would like to especially thank the commissioned artists and local supporters that helped us create this transformational new centre.”
