DESCRIPTION:Run\, hop\, skip or walk 3km in the dark!\nKindly sponsored by Freestyle Designs\, the Glow Run is BACK!  \nOur family friendly fun run is suitable for all ages and abilities\, so come along dressed in your favourite fancy dress or neon accessories\, bring a torch\, and help us light up Odd Down Sports Ground for Royal United Hospitals Bath. \nWhat you can expect on the night \nThe Glow Run is a 2 lap course around the enclosed cycle track\, with lights to guide you along the way. Whether you’re a regular Parkrunner\, looking for ways to get the family more active\, or you just want to do something different to support your hospital\, the Glow Run is for everyone. \nThe event is fully accessible for wheelchair users and buggies\, with a flat tarmacked route\, disabled parking and disabled toilet on site. \nWith a group warm up\, face painting\, UV school-style disco and more to take part in on the night\, we promise to put the ‘fun’ into fundraising! \n  \nLast tickets available on the door\n\n\n\nPlease arrive at 6pm to register.\n \nHow much does it cost to enter?\n• Age 0-2 go free\n• Child ticket (3-16)* £7.50\n• Adult ticket (17 and over) £10\n• 25% off adult tickets for NHS staff\n• Carers go free\n \n*Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a paying adult or carer on the 3km route\n \nWhat you’ll get for taking part:\n• Fundraising support\n• Big cheers as you cross the start and finish line\n• A finisher’s medal\n• A big warm glowing feeling of knowing you have helped your local hospitals!\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFAQs\n\nHow much do I need to raise? \n  \nExpandHide\n \n\n\nPlease try and raise as much as you can to support Royal United Hospitals Bath. We ask that you aim to raise £50 per person (or that families aim to raise £50 per child taking part). \n• £50 could fund creative sessions on the Children’s Ward\n• £100 could fund live music on a ward\n• £150 could fund sensory toolkits for patients with learning disabilities \n\n\n\n\nWho can take part in the Glow Run? \n  \nExpandHide\n \n\n\nThe Glow Run is suitable for anyone! Younger children (under 11) must be accompanied by a paying adult or carer around the 3km course. Children aged 11 and older can take part by themselves\, but must be supervised by a responsible adult when not on the track. \nPlease ensure everyone in your group who wishes to take part in the 3km fun run is registered. \n\n\n\n\nWhat should I bring? \n  \nExpandHide\n \n\n\nThis is an outdoor event so please make sure you dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear. Fancy dress and neon outfits are encouraged! \nEssential items:\n• Warm jumper\n• Waterproof coat\n• Water bottle\n• Torch (head torch or hand held)\n• Appropriate footwear \nGlow sticks\, light up accessories and neon face paint will be available to purchase on the night. \n\n\n\n\nIs it a race? \n  \nExpandHide\n \n\n\nThe Glow Run is a family-friendly sponsored fun run event and is not timed. Everyone who takes part will receive a medal! \n\n\n\n\nIs the route accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs? \n  \nExpandHide\n \n\n\nThe Glow Run takes place on the tarmacked cycle track at Odd Down Sports Ground\, making it a smooth and even path suitable for wheelchairs\, pushchairs and buggies. There are accessible toilets located inside the sports centre.  \nPlease get in touch if you have any questions about additional needs. \n\n\n\n\nCan I ride my bike or scooter? \n  \nExpandHide\n \n\n\nBikes and scooters are unfortunately not allowed. This is to keep everyone safe as the event takes place after dark with reduced visibility. \n\n\n\n\nCan I bring my dog? \n  \nExpandHide\n \n\n\nDogs are welcome on the day to spectate with cheerers but sadly cannot participate in the run on the cycle track due to site rules. \n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nOther information \n\n\nTravelling to the event \n  \nExpandHide\n \n\n\nThere is limited free parking at the event\, including 8 disabled parking spaces. Please avoid parking in the residential areas so as not to disturb local residents and do not block residents’ driveways. \nWe encourage everyone to use public transport where possible. There is a bus stop located on Bloomfield Road where the number 4 bus from Weston/Bath City Centre or Odd Down Park & Ride stops regularly.
