Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie\, conquering a fear\, or celebrating a milestone\, get ready for the thrill of completing a charity tandem skydive for RUHX. Tick off the ultimate bucket list item with #TeamRUHX in support of health\, happiness and wellbeing for everyone in Bath and beyond. \nWe’ve partnered with the friendly team at Netheravon Airfield\, the home of the Army Parachute Association. You’ll be jumping over the beautiful Wiltshire countryside\, where\, if you’re lucky\, you’ll catch a glimpse of the White Horses on the way down. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nOn the day\, you’ll receive thorough ground-training from a tandem master to prepare you for your fall to earth. Board your plane and when it’s time to jump\, you’ll be strapped securely to your tandem instructor before you exit the aircraft at 13\,000ft. Experience an exhilarating freefall of over 40 seconds before your instructor deploys the main parachute and together you steer your way back to the drop zone for a gentle\, controlled landing. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow to book\nThere are two fundraising options available. Either way\, you’ll get the same support from us! \n\n\n\nOption 1 – Minimum sponsorship\n£75 registration fee + £415 minimum sponsorship*\n \nStep 1: Contact us to check availability – let us know your preferred date.\nStep 2: Once your date is confirmed\, we’ll send you a registration form to complete.\nStep 3: We’ll book your place and send you everything you need to know about the day.\n \n \n\nOption 2 – Self-funding\n£245 + no minimum sponsorship target\n \nStep 1: Book your own skydive at https://www.netheravon.com/ (let them know it’s for us to apply the charity discount)\nStep 2: Let us know when you are taking the leap by emailing: fundraising@ruhx.org.uk\nStep 3: Set up a fundraising page and raise as much as you can for everyone in Bath and beyond.\n \n\n \n*This covers the cost of your jump (£245) and ensures a minimum donation of £245 to RUHX. 80% of your sponsorship must be raised by 4 weeks before your jump. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nFAQs\n\nWhat do I get for taking part? \n  \nExpandHide\n \n\n\n• Your very own RUHX t-shirt to wear on the day\n• All the fundraising materials and support you need along the way\n• The pride of doing something extra extraordinary for patients and staff at RUH Bath \n\n\n\n\nWhere does my sponsorship go? \n  \nExpandHide\n \n\n\nEvery penny raised from skydives goes towards life-changing projects at the RUH\, such as: \n• providing state-of-the-art equipment\n• providing facilities for loved ones to be with patients\n• transforming hospital wards\n• funding life changing research and innovative technologies\n• providing mental health first aid training to staff\n• arts programmes for children and older people on our wards \nWith your help\, we can make our care extra extraordinary for every patient and support our hospital staff to do what they do best. We couldn’t do it without your exceptional support. \n\n\n\n\nWhen can I skydive? \n  \nExpandHide\n \n\n\nYou can choose any available date for your skydive. The Army Parachute Association operates from 8am until dusk on Saturdays\, Sundays and bank holidays\, and from 12pm until last light on Wednesdays and Fridays throughout the year. \nExact jump times are given out on the day\, based on your arrival time and the weather\, so you should prepare for a full day event. You will be given an arrival time nearer to the time of the event. \n\n\n\n\nCan I bring my family and friends to watch me? \n  \nExpandHide\n \n\n\nYes\, please bring friends and family on the day to cheer you on! If you do bring children\, please note it can be a long day of waiting so please plan accordingly. \nGuests must bring photo ID as the site is MOD. \n\n\n\n\nHow do I get there? \n  \nExpandHide\n \n\n\nPlease click here and follow directions to the guardroom where you will check in and be directed to the airfield. \n\n\n\n\nWill my skydive be filmed? \n  \nExpandHide\n \n\n\nMake a memory to last a lifetime and get the evidence to go with it! Your skydive can be filmed for an additional £150\, which is payable on the day to Netheravon. \nYour own personal cameraperson at Netheravon will capture your jump and free-fall\, as well as the before and after. We thoroughly recommend it! \nBooking in advance is recommended\, so please let us know if you would like this to be reserved for you or let Netheravon know directly if self-funding your skydive. \n\n\n\n\nWill I be skydiving on my own? \n  \nExpandHide\n \n\n\nYou will be partaking in a tandem skydive\, meaning you will be with a highly experienced skydiver for the entirety of your jump. \n\n\n\n\nAge and weight limits \n  \nExpandHide\n \n\n\nThe minimum age for this event is 16 years old (under 18s must have written parental consent)\, but there is no upper age limit! \nThe maximum weight limit is 101kg\, which equals around 16 stone. This is due to the limitations of the parachuting equipment. \nOnce registered\, we will send you a waiver & medical form that needs to be completed and brought with you on the day. \n\n\n\n\nTerms & conditions \n  \nExpandHide\n \n\n\nPlease click here to read the full terms and conditions. \n\n\n\n\n
